Baylor is still only 2, but I'm convinced he thinks he's closer to 7. There have been multiple times at parks and other places when he tries to hangout with the big kids instead of kids his age. Today I went to the gym to workout, and I put the kiddos in the childcare area. After my workout I went to go get Chase and Baylor. They put the babies in one area, the toddlers in another, and the big kids in a separate area. I knew Baylor wouldn't be with the babies or toddlers, because that's not how he rolls, but I didn't expect to find him just chillin' at a table with a bunch of 7 year old kids playing the game LIFE. LIFE...What?!? How old does this kid think he is? I'm sure the 7 year old kids were wondering the same thing.
Not only does he think he is older than he really is. He is starting to act like one of those teenagers who think they are smarter than their parents. We've been having a lot of people we know move, so I've been explaining where everyone is moving to, and where everyone lives. I'll ask, "where does Nana live?" and he'll say, "Texas." Then I'll ask, "where does Grandma live?" and he'll say, "Idaho." I'll ask him, "where is Abbey moving?" and he'll say, "Wisconsin." But, when I ask him where he lives, he always answers, "home." I'll tell him, "yeah, but you also live in Ohio." He then looks at me like I'm crazy and say, "no, I live in a house". I can tell he is thinking something like; What is that woman talking about? I don't know what this Ohio place is, but I know I live in a house, and there's nothing she can say to make me believe I live in Ohio. He apparently doesn't believe me, and thinks he is smarter than me. I'm sure it won't be the last time he thinks this.
