Houston Trip Post

I went to Houston about 2 weeks ago and had a blast. Brody is taking a trip to Seattle next month and meeting up with some friends for a Depeche Mode concert (yes, he is still obsessed with them). I figured, it was not fair for him to do something fun like that and me not, so I told him I wanted to go to Houston. Brody stayed home with Baylor while Chase and I hung out in Texas.

I apparently forgot how to tell time when I booked my return flight, because the entire time I was suppose to be leaving on Monday at 7:30 AM, but when I went to print my boarding pass I was informed that it was 7:30 PM. I was pretty excited, because I got to spend another day there and go with my good friend Jennifer on her boat. I guess I forgot those letters at the end of the time actually stood for something.

I decided I would make a good 5th wheel and go with my sisters and their husband/boyfriend to a jazz club one night. There was good food, good music, and good company. You can't go wrong with that.

We took a dip in the pool and played categories and sneakers. I hadn't played pool games in years. I felt like I was 10 again.

We took out the waverunner one day. Shortly after Samantha and I went out the boys took it out and came back with it broken. That didn't stop them from having fun through. They then went rope swinging and bridge jumping.

Chase had a great time with his cousins. He has almost 30 cousins, and finally got to spend some time with some of them. I feel so lucky to have such an awesome, fun family. Thanks for the great trip!

Happy 4th

We hope everyone had a great 4th of July. We had a nice day celebrating. Here are some pictures of our holiday fun.

Brody bought a huge case of fireworks at the store, and was disappointed when there were actually no fireworks in the box. There were a few sparklers, and poppers, but mostly deceivingly, packaged smoke. You light this box that looks like a firework, but all it does it let off smoke. Oh well, we still had fun.

We spent the day at the lake jet-skiing and BBQing. Thanks for having us Mike and Malinda.

Baylor enjoying the lake.

Proof that I was there for the 4th of July too. I feel like I'm not in any pictures, because I'm always taking them. It's probably better that way anyways.

We met up with our friends, the Draayer's to watch the fireworks. These cute kids could hardly wait for them to start.

When we were leaving our house to go look at the fireworks Baylor kept saying, "Hey, it's dark outside. What are we doing?" He thought it was very weird that he was not going to bed since it was dark outside. So, as to be expected, this was Baylor on the way home from the fireworks.

Whoops! I forgot to take pictures of Chase. To help redeem myself he gets a video posted.
