I was lucky after I had Baylor, because the baby weight was easy to get off. I thought it would be the same after I had Chase, but it wasn't. With Baylor I kept on about 15-20 lbs for a while, but once I stopped nursing at 6 months I dropped those extra pounds quickly. Chase was a totally different story. After I stopped nursing I still had an extra 20+ pounds, and that weight was not going anywhere. I knew I had to work to get it off so this is what I did.
I mainly just started running. I also go to a few fitness classes at my gym and sometimes do weights. I used to be a good runner in high school, and it was easy for me, but for some reason 2 children and almost 10 years later it's not as easy. It took time and I had to build up my endurance, but now I love to run and it really helped me get into better shape.
The next thing I did was stopped snacking at night. Brody and I had a bad habit of pigging out during the evenings. I usually try not to eat much after dinner now, and speaking of dinner, that is something else I changed. I didn't change anything I made I just changed how I ate. First, I tried not to eat while cooking. While I prepared dinner I would be eating it the entire time. I would pretty much have had a full course meal before we even started dinner, and that didn't stop me from eating a full dinner too. Now, I try not to do that and when we do eat I try to eat less of my main dish and more veggies instead. I guess the only other thing I did was just be aware of what I was eating. I was more aware of the calories I was taking in and tried to lessen them.
So that's mainly what I did. I feel great right now. I'm to the weight I was when I got married, which I never thought would happen. I've maintained this weight for a while, so my drivers licence is finally telling the truth about my weight. Hopefully I can keep it off. I just need to resist eating about 10 lbs of candy I have left over from Halloween.

Stacey you are looking so so great! Everytime I see you I just think how awesome you look. And the thing is I didn't think you were overweight or chubby or anything before. But good for you girl! It is a big accomplishment and you should be proud. Hopefully I can follow in your footsteps in a few months!
Thank you for your post! I actually fill that there is hope for me! I am trying to get Tally to go on formula and it is harder than I thought since Trey went right to it as a baby. I have been feeling so sad about myself lately. I stepped on the scale and I have 24 lbs to get back to where I was before Talyn. At this time with my first 2, I had only 10 lbs to go, and yesterday I just about died! I truly needed your post! For some reason, my goal just seems too hard to reach. I know it will just take changing my diet and exercising to do it, and I know that I can! (I hope) ( you know it's my third and I'm going to be the big 30 on Saturday) Anywhay, sorry so long, but THANK YOU!! you look great!
It's always nice to share success! Awesome job!
You look great! You want to come up here and get me motivated????
You look great (I would say hott, but Mom might get offended).
You look FABULOUS! I am so proud of you. Hopefully one day I will get to where I "love" running, but in the mean time. . .
I have been meaning to comment on this. I am so impressed with how great you look after having two kids. I never thought of you as needing to lose anything, but you really look amazing. I think this is a awesome success story and one you should be proud to share.
Stacey, that is so great and motivating! you should be proud of yourself, b/c losing weight, especially baby weight can be really hard and super frustrating. Good for you!
I was in Kingwood over the weekend with some of the girls (got to see Carol, that was fun) and we were all talking about your weight loss and how fabulous you look and how you looked fabulous before! Is that the longest sentence ever?? :) You really look great, and always have of course, but congrats! That's got to feel good.
Way to go!! You look great!
Stace, you look AMAZING! It is hard work, but it feels so good when you get that weight off! Good job!
