We are leaving to go to Utah/Idaho tomorrow morning. Brody has spring break so we are going to take off for a week and visit Brody's family and a couple of my siblings. Doing things like this reminds me how nuts my parents were. I mean, I'm stressed packing and getting ready to traveling with 3 kids (Brody counts as 1 of the kids). Our flight will end up being about 5 hours and we have DVD's, cartoons, and books to help us make it through, and I'm still not sure we are going to make it.
Like many of you know. I have a huge family, but that didn't stop my parents from putting on their crazy hats and still taking us on trips. We would load up in our awesome 15-passenger orange van (yes it was orange) and drive. We usually went on trips that were at least 20 hours long. Many trips included illness, which meant things like throw up in shoes, because you couldn't make it out the door on time.
Honestly, my parents aren't crazy. They are awesome and realized how important it was to make memories, and be together. I didn't think much of it growing up, but now I realize how much work goes into taking trips, and I truly appreciate all my parents' efforts.

Your parents are awesome, and it's fun to see how lucky we really were the older we get. Have fun!
Okay I also wonder how my parents did it. Our 15 passenger van was puke green though. Many memories were made in that and you are right usually someone got sick especially if we were going through the canyons.
Can't wait to see you guys soon. Be safe and have a ton of fun. Cooper talks about Baylor all of the time and wants to know when he is coming?
Have a great trip! We are heading to Utah March 27th. . .we will probably just miss each other. :-)
