Another Week

Well, it's been a week so I figured I would blog to share my wonderful week experiences. This week was fine and pretty ordinary except for a few things...

1st I realized my boss is apparently a 4-year old. I nanny during the day. It is usually just a 3 month old I watch, but recently I have been watching her sassy 4-year old sister too. She's a cute kid, but has a very strong and bossy personality. Yesterday I was getting out some toys and crafts for us to do and she says, "Mrs. Stacey, you better pick up your mess because my mom is having a friend over tonight, and if you don't then I will....." From there I said, " You know, you really don't need to threaten me. I am an adult and I'm pretty sure I know how to pick up after myself." After that she gave me this mean look and I of course later did as I was told and picked up just like my boss said to.

2nd I realized car naps do not always get the same results as crib naps. Baylor fell asleep in the car on my way home from work. Brody had just finished finals, so we were going out that night. Usually, Baylor is in the best mood ever after a nap, so I figured I would let him finish taking his nap in the car and we would go straight out to eat, so when he woke up at the restaurant he would be happy and rested. Boy was I wrong. He was the worst ever. I know that is hard to top, but he topped it. He was absolutely freaking out. We placed our order just to tell the server to make it "to go".

3rd I realized Lost is an awesome show. So my friend Sarah Nelson convinced Brody and I to start watching Lost. I wasn't too sure about trusting her judgement because she has told me before some of her favorite shows are the Disney shows that come on Saturday morning. So, I'm thinking if Lost is anything like Hanna Montana, then I may be little disappointed. Well, I was not disappointed. I think Lost is awesome. We just started the 2nd season, and we're excited to see what is next. It is very suspenseful and a very cool show.

Oh no, the cat's out of the bag. Now everyone will know my secret fetish with "hannah montana," and "that's so raven..." But in all honesty, Lost is hands down the best tv show ever made. I think its hilarious that that little 4 year old is so dang bossy....ooh, that would make me so frustrated. Maybe you should start showing her who the real boss is. Make her mop the floors, and clean out your car. That would teach her.

Candace kept trying to get Dan and I into "Lost". When we came to Russia
1 1/2 yrs ago we borrowed someone's season one. Then season two. I just bought season three. It has been the best way to watch t.v. No commercials!!!
Loved the tags...loved your little Michelin man!
I remember the Midland house!

I have never seen LOST but I sort of get sucked into shows like Hannah Montana too. Not sure why. Maybe its because Saved By the Bell isn't on anymore. Man I miss that show.

I try to never let my kids fall asleep in the car. They are horrible when they wake up. I do everyithing like try to have a conversation or turn on the rasio and get them to dance. A week ago I had Cooper dancing because we were so close to home, then I look back and he is almost out and is still bobbing his head trying to dance for me. I am so mean. You guys are brave taking baylor out to eat. We stopped taking our kids out with us about 2 years ago. They are grounded from restaurants until further notice. miss you guys

Lost is almost there but not quite. If you really want a good TV show then you need to watch Battlestar Galactica. This is hands down the best TV show and it will finally end after 4 seasons. No long drawn out story plot...no mysterious hatch, mysterious beast, and mysterious others later to be revealed in Season 20. Just a good story that encompasses everything. But don't take my word for it.

"one of the best dramas on TV" (Time Magazine).

"The series has won widespread acclaim among many mainstream non-genre publications. Time magazine,[9] Rolling Stone magazine[10] and New York Newsday[11] named it the best show on television in 2005. Other publications like The New York Times,[12] The New Yorker[13] and National Review[14] also gave the show positive reviews."

I totally agree that car naps aren't the best for toddlers! If I have to wake Ethan up to go somewhere he is pretty much cranky the rest of the day.

So I just found your blog. I am Taryn Palmer, I am Breanne and Derek's friend. We are moving to Columbus in May because Ryan is starting dental school out there. Brody actually talked to the admissions people for Ryan. That was so nice of him so please let him know how much we appreciated it. Just thought I would say hi and start making some friends now!
